The Speiro Group was founded for one purpose…to serve. Located in Columbus, Ohio, my focus is to help companies reach their full potential. I have over fifteen years of strategic marketing experience including various brand management roles with Sara Lee Corporation and Abbott Nutrition. This experience includes business planning, profitability improvement, brand identity and positioning, advertising and promotions development, and new product launches.

These last several years I have also been able to pursue a passion for education. I am a Senior Lecturer of Marketing at The Ohio State University where I teach the Marketing Projects, Marketing Strategy, Promotional Strategy and MBA Professional Development courses. I'm also the Faculty Director of the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry Immersion Program, a Faculty Mentor in the Fisher Leadership Initiative and a Faculty Advisor for the OSU chapter of the American Marketing Association.

What's in a name?

I am often asked about the meaning and significance of the company name. Speiro is a Greek word that means to plant or sow seed…as in the phrase “you reap what you sow”. I believe this concept translates to both professional and personal growth. In order to reap the rewards you desire (stronger business results, a healthier company culture, improved leadership abilities, etc.), you must first sow the seed to produce these end results. This requires commitment, effort, and resources…and sometimes a little help.
